Last night's South Park, reminded us that for millions, AIDS is still very real. It highlights the fact, that although great advances have been made, they almost entirely benefit the rich, while the poor continue to be gripped by the disease.The grip of this disease is of course greatest where condom use is low, and condom use is lowest where the influence of the Roman Catholic church is high.
When are we going to value human life and compassion more than ritual and fantasy?
Do you think there is a god that is more upset over condom use than in reducing human suffering?

I try to point out to people that the only reason some of the religious charitys are breaking down and advocating condom use as a last resort, is becouse the have been forced to by secular society.
The abortion question is clearer to me, and I know there are some contraceptives that Christians generally reject across the board because they see them as abortive agents, but I'm fairly ignorant to the stance of many Religions regarding condoms, although I know the Vatican's "sins" in this regard.
